Feats for Heart
On October 8th, 2011, Dany Bonneville and Patrice Pellerin will take part in the Furnace Creek 508 event.
Revealed by athletes to be « The Toughest 48 hours in Sport », the Furnace Creek event is an ultra-endurance challenge for bikers of all around the world. In 48 hours, bikers must cycle 508 miles (817 km) through the desert where the scorching hot weather during the day will transform into icy temperature at night. Along with 35,000 feet of elevation, these hard conditions mean this race is not for tourists of beginners. Two bike enthusiasts from Québec, Dany Bonneville and Patrice Pellerin, will try to overcome this ordeal together and thereby take the opportunity to raise funds for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Québec.
